What Are Dermal Fillers?

The Procedure

On the day of your treatment, you will have the opportunity to go through any last minute questions you might have. The practitioner will begin by applying a numbing cream to the areas where the filler is going to be injected. Once the cream has taken effect, the practitioner will use a fine needle to carefully complete the series of small injections, and then ensure the filler is evenly distributed. The treatment usually takes about 30 minutes and, although you may experience some slight swelling or bruising, the results will be visible straight away. Dermal Filler Results/Recovery

After the Dermal Filler treatment there may be some minor swelling after the treatment is completed. Results are usually visible the same day. 10-14 days after the treatment swelling should have resided and the effects of the Dermal Filler will be more noticeable.

Over time, your dermal fillers will be absorbed by your body so you’ll need to have them topped up if you want to maintain the appearance.
